Established in the year 1965 as Trivandrum Homoeopathic Medical College with DHMS (Diploma in Homoeopathy) course.
Name changed to Shree Vidyadhiraja Homoeopathic Medical College in the year 1978 after merging of Trivandrum Homoeopathic Medical College Society to Shree Vidyadhiraja Vidya Samajam.
Started Bachelor degree – BHMS – admitting 50 students per year, in the year 2001, after getting affiliation from Central Council of Homoeopathy & University of Kerala.
‘Direct Payment System’ (DPS) introduced by Government of Kerala from 01-09-2002, thus becoming a Govt. Aided College.
Affiliation shifted to Kerala University of Health Sciences, Mulakunnathukavu, Thrissur, in the year 2009.
Twelve Academic Departments: Anatomy, Physiology & Biochemistry, Pathology, Pharmacy, Forensic Medicine, Community Medicine, Surgery, Obstetrics & Gynecology, Practice of Medicine, Repertory, Organon of Medicine and Materia Medica.
25 bedded Teaching Hospital with all facilities including Pharmacy, Clinical Laboratory, Ultra-Sound Scanning, ECG, X-Ray unit, Labour room, Operation Theatre etc.
43 doctors in teaching departments & 4 medical officers in teaching hospital.
48 staff members in non-teaching positions.
Full-fledged Library having more than 10,000 books with a collection of very rare books in Homoeopathy.
A clean & healthy Canteen in the campus with 5 additional staff, serving free food three times a day to all the hospital in-patients.
College Bus & Hospital Ambulance
A Ladies hostel working with 10 additional staff members at Mottamoodu near Pravachambalam, around 3 kilometres from the College. (College bus used for transportation)
First Rank & Third rank in BHMS degree for the year 2016 and Second rank in the year 2017, awarded to students of SVHMC, Nemom by Kerala University of Health Sciences. 100% pass in the final year examination in 2017.
