Department of Pathology and Microbiology

The pathology and microbiology department plays a pivotal role in deciphering the intricacies of diseases, guiding treatment strategies, and contributing to the overall well-being of our community.

Our pathology experts specialize in the examination of tissues, cells, and organs to diagnose diseases accurately. Utilizing state-of-the-art technologies, including digital pathology and molecular diagnostics, we aim to provide precise and timely information crucial for effective patient management.

Edua

The microbiology wing of our department is dedicated to identifying and characterizing infectious agents. From bacteria and viruses to fungi and parasites, our skilled microbiologists employ advanced techniques to diagnose infections, guide antibiotic therapies, and contribute to infection control measures.

We are dedicated to understanding the basis of disease and applying our understanding to improve the medical diagnosis and treatment of patients. Our consultant pathologists often participate in clinicopathological and oncological meetings with different specialties.

Students get in-depth knowledge of the various infections in humans—their causes, transmission, clinical symptoms, laboratory diagnosis, treatment, and prophylaxis. They also practice the basic techniques in diagnostic microbiology like gram staining, acid fast staining, culture methods, identification tests, sterilization, and disinfection.

Teaches the cause of the disease, pathogenesis, and pathological changes of the diseases, and also teaches the diagnostic criteria with a homeopathic orientation. This department is established in a spacious building comprising a pathology and microbiology laboratory equipped with hematology, cytology, histopathology, and microbiology. Immunology sections. Museum exhibits on specific organs; new specimens are added frequently; specimens include neoplastic and non-neoplastic lesions of all systems.A separate set of unmounted specimens is kept aside exclusively for exams.A well-stocked library is maintained where every current standby text book is readily available for reference.Well-furnished and spacious faculty offices and a seminar hall with audio-visual aids are available. Qualified teaching and supporting faculty. The overall goal of pathology training is to create confidence in students learning pathology with a homeopathic orientation.
